The only child of a middle class family, Shuuichi always received the love
and education of his mother. Minamino-san, his father, died when Shuuichi was still a child, he grew without a father. His mother, Shiori, a hardworking woman, spent most of her days at her job,
returning home in the evenings or later. It was not her fault, nor intentional. Shuuichi understood this perfectly, but the constant absence of mother and father granted him too much freedom.

His mother had seen the suspicious attitude of the teens and stood in the middle, using her body as a shield. The attacker fled before the police arrived.
Shiori spent several weeks at the hospital, the injury had not been deadly, yet it left a hideous scar through her left hand and shoulder.
Deeply touched by her act of uninterested love, Shuuichi experimented a change of heart. He forfeited to his criminal life and vowed to become the best son his mother could ever wish. He took care of her rehabilitation, assisting her in all the possible ways. Struggling to become the notorious student of the class.
Due to the results of his exams, he was granted a scholarship to assist to the Meiou High, a private academy, but he only coursed his last year of high school there.
Shiori had been dating a middle class man, Hatanaka-san, and soon after the incident they got married. Shuuichi's family was complete, even he had a step-brother.
However, his actions as a teen criminal wouldn't be forgotten by those he met. It is a past which will always be present. And the nickname of 'Kurama' wouldn't abandon him, he bears it without secrecy.

Hatanaka-san works as the chief of the Finances Department of the Tokyo University. Kurama helps him as a cadet and secretary, sometimes typing for him or picking the phone, he willingly works for no retribution, except aiding his step-father.
